connecting to local server failing

Hi,

I am trying to connect to my local db server using the machine name. This at one point worked but not it is failing with windows auth.

How can i change the SA password as I cannot remember this and it might get me logged in?

Also, normally there is a service for SQL server under Services and I do not see this anymore for 2005. Can somebody point to where this would be?

You should see a service SQL Server. If you don't then something is wrong with the installation on your machine. Do you see anything in Add/Remove Programs?
